Everton are looking to sign two centre-backs before the transfer window shuts on Thursday evening, according to the Guardian.
The newspaper claim manager Marco Silva wants to bring in two players for the key position in what promises to be a busy deadline day for the Merseysiders.
The Guardian report Everton remain in talks to sign Barcelona defender Yerry Mina and are also keen on landing Newcastle skipper Jamaal Lascelles in the next 48 hours.

There would certainly be ructions at Newcastle United if owner Mike Ashley caved in and accepted an offer for Lascelles. The unpopular Sports Direct tycoon has history when it comes to mega-money deadline day sales, so it can’t be ruled out entirely. Especially as Everton are gearing up for some major business.
