Everton attacker Sandro Ramirez is at the heart of an ambitious transfer plot from La Liga side Celta Vigo as they look to overcome his wages to try and seal a deal, according to Television Galega.

The Spanish broadcaster claim on their website that the 5’7″ (source: Transfermarkt) forward is their top target to add to their attacking options, but that a move would only be possible by selling off two of their current players before the deadline at the end of August.

Eldesmarque claim that the difficulty in doing a deal for the Toffees man is his wages, with reliable sports statistic website Spotrac stating he is on £65,ooo-a-week at Goodison Park, and that it looks to be an impossible move without some change in circumstances.

Good move for Everton?

Getting Sandro’s wages off the books on Merseyside would be a welcome sight, for at the moment he is simply draining cash out of the club and giving nothing back.

He has fallen firmly out of favour of Marco Silva and seems to have no part to play in the first team with Everton this season – minus a catastrophic run of injuries – and as such an exit makes sense for both the player and the club.

Celta Vigo might not be the club to take him on – it looks a move out of reach when it comes to wages and the like – but someone out there should be keen on taking him on and giving him the chance to reignite his stuttering career.

Likely to happen?

To Celta Vigo? Probably not.

The financial details of a deal simply are not viable for a club that has to sell in order to buy, and while they might like the look of Sandro, it is just a dream rather than reality.

Perhaps if they had given themselves more time to raise funds with sales and such, it could have happened, but with a week to go, this is a non-starter.
