Chelsea are in the hunt to sign Braga winger Trincao, according to A Bola.

The Portuguese publication claim that the Blues, Juventus, Sevilla, RB Leipzig, Lyon, AS Roma and Monaco have signalled their intent to sign the 18-year-old attacker who currently has a £13.5million release clause in his contract.

A Bola report that the player’s release clause is set to rise to £26.9million at the end of August and that Juventus have already seen a £6.2million bid rejected for his services in July.

Good move for Chelsea?

Yes.

Trinaco looks on course to have a bright future in football and captured a lot of attention this summer by starring at the U-19s European Championship with Portugal.

The winger successfully helped his nation win the prestigious youth tournament as he scored fives goals, as well as creating three, in the five appearances he made at the event.

If the Blues were able to successfully secure his services than it could turn out to be a wise move in the future if he fulfils his potential.

Likely to happen?

It seems that Trincao will end up at one of the biggest teams in Europe given the interest in him but it’s unclear who will win the race.

As it stands it seems Juventus are sat in pole position as A Bola’s report states that not only Juventus seen a bid already rejected for the winger, they’re still trying to get a deal even thought the Italian transfer window is close.

If the Blues are to have any chance of winning the race for Trincao it seems they have to act now rather than later even though the transfer window is also shut for them.

This is because Juventus could get a deal agreed in principal ahead of the winter window opening for them and because the winger’s release clause is set to skyrocket which will make a potential deal way more expensive.
