A section of Newcastle United fans have been reacting on Twitter after it was reported that the club has made a seven-figure bid worth up to £9.8million for Paris Saint-Germain defender Stanley N’Soki.
Yahoo Sport France journalist Manu Lonjon claimed on his personal Twitter account on Saturday afternoon that the Magpies have offered up an initial fee worth £6.2million, with the potential of it rising by a further £3.6million due to add-ons.

N’Soki has only ever made one appearance in the PSG first team, but that has not stopped Newcastle from trying to sign up the centre-back, who can also play at left-back.
And some Newcastle fans are excited about potentially signing the France Under-20s international, with one claiming it is a “very smart deal” by the club.

Tbf its a very smart deal from rafa. He can play anywhere along the back line so it saves funds for a number 10 and rondon hopefully. People who've seen him play say he's decent too.

Surely they'd accept. Why would they haggle over 3m Euros not being upfront. They spend that on neymars haircuts man

Great if we could pull this one off. Been linked with some very big teams.

OPINION
If Newcastle can pull off this signing as well as afford a top centre-forward who can bang in at least 15 goals next season, they it is a brilliant signing by Rafa Benitez and a very smart deal, as pointed out by one fan. However it is taking quite a chunk out of a transfer budget that already seems to be pretty low after struggling to spend all summer. N’Soki is versatile enough to play in more than one position though and could be worth a lot more in the future if he proves to be a hit on Tyneside. It’s not the most exciting deal and some fans still seem sceptical, with good cause, but it’s definitely a sign of progress.
