Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius is set to join Besiktas on a two-year loan deal, and Liverpool fans have flocked onto Twitter to react in shock.
Paul Joyce, the northern correspondent for the Times, made the claim on his personal Twitter page on Monday afternoon.
It follows Liverpool’s move for Alisson over the summer after some high-profile mistakes from Karius.

Liverpool fans seem fairly shocked at the news, with some angry that Karius is going and Simon Mignolet will be back-up. One fan called for him to be binned off as well and one said Liverpool should never have sold Danny Ward.
Here are the best reactions from Liverpool fans:
Perfect, hope everything goes well for him

Mignolet survives again. Baffled. Bin him as well.

OPINION
Karius has three years left on his Liverpool deal and this will put him into the final year. It’s unusual to have a two-year loan deal and it says that Karius’ Liverpool career is all but over. You have to have some sympathy for him. The 25-year-old is a talented keeper but he was never going to recover from the high-profile mistakes he made, and the two blunders in the Champions League final put an end to his career at Anfield. It seemed that he might get a second chance, but then Jurgen Klopp acted to bring in Brazilian Alisson in a £67million deal and that was that. The surprise from a number of Liverpool fans seems to be that it’s Karius that’s going and not Mignolet, although one fan is angry that Danny Ward was sold over the summer to Leicester. We wish Karius all the best – Turkish fans aren’t the most forgiving and it’s a pretty intimidating choice of teams to go to and rebuild your confidence.
