A section of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to rave about Molde wonderkid Erling Braut Haaland after he scored two goals against Hibernian on Thursday – with some supporters suggesting that the Yorkshire club should attempt to sign the 18-year-old.
Haaland, 18, is the son of ex-Elland Road star Alf-Inge Haaland and even though he represents Norway’s international youth sides, the teenage centre-forward was born in Leeds.
The 6ft 3in (transfermarkt) forward was on fire for Molde on Thursday as they knocked Hibs out of the Europa League, and now some Whites fans have been drooling over the young prospect, with one telling the club to “sign him up”.

OPINION
You can understand why these Leeds fans are raving about Haaland. He is one of the most highly-rated young talents in Scandinavian football and his brace against Hibs on Thursday night is only going to increase the spotlight on him. Even before you consider the fact that the teenager is the son of an ex-Leeds hero and was born in the city, Haaland would be a class addition for the Whites, but they may have to wait until January now if Marcelo Bielsa wants to add him to his squad. However the reality is that Haaland is doing so well that he is bound to be attracting attention from top-flight clubs in Europe. The Molde forward has scored 11 goals in 17 appearances in 2018, and not many youngsters get ignored with stats like that. Leeds fans may be wishing for this move to come true, but they should probably forget about it happening.
