Rangers have accepted a bid for attacker Josh Windass, according to a club Insider.

Four Lads Had a Dream, a Rangers blog with very close ties to the club, and who regularly break transfer news, made the claim on its Twitter account on Thursday afternoon.

They claim that the bid, from Championship side Ipswich, is in the region of £2million.

OPINION

This one is going to be very interesting. Many Rangers fans don’t particularly like Windass but far more of them don’t like to see their players sold for what they think is a price below their market valuation. We think Windass is worth a lot more than £2million and most Rangers fans would agree with us. Four Lads are ultra reliable with their information so we’d say that this one is very accurate and it seems that Rangers are under-selling themselves again. If you look at some of the valuations that are being bandied about this summer, then £2million for an attacker who scored 18 goals last season is a bargain. There could be more to this one than meets the eye of course, and there have been rumours that Windass has been agitating for a move this summer. It looks like he’s going to get it now in a very late deal and that he’ll be playing football in the Championship this season. We doubt many Rangers fans will wish him good luck.
