Chelsea defender Ola Aina could finalise a move to Torino in the coming hours, according to Sky Sports Italy journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

The reporter claimed on his personal website that Aina, 21, has chosen to join Torino as his next club following interest from their Serie A rivals Frosinone.

It is understood that Torino have been in the hunt to sign the Chelsea right-back for a few weeks and a deal may be wrapped up sooner rather than later.

Good move for Chelsea?

Aina does not have a chance of playing in Maurizio Sarri’s first team next season and it is best off that Chelsea cash in on him really and let him further his career elsewhere.

The four-times Nigeria international has only ever made six senior appearances for the London club and spent last season on loan at Hull.

At the age of 21, players need to be getting loan experience in the Premier League or at the very least playing for a top Championship club, not one that was struggling towards the relegation zone last term like Aina was with the Tigers.

Aina probably won’t get too much first team football at Torino, but he is more likely to start making the odd appearance in their side than he is in Sarri’s

Likely to happen?

Di Marzio claims that the deal could be wrapped up fairly soon, which suggests that the deal is very likely to take place.

Aina will surely want to push for an exit from Stamford Bridge due to the lack of first team football he is going to get there and a move to Italy is no doubt appealing for a young player.
