A section of West Brom fans have reacted angrily at Hal Robson-Kanu’s display versus Bolton Wanderers.
The Baggies were beaten 2-1 by Wanderers in their opening Championship fixture at The Hawthorns, with Yanic Wildschut getting the winning goal.
Darren Moore’s side lined up with a 4-4-2 formation in the game, with new signings Kyle Bartley and Harvey Barnes making their full debuts for the club.

Robson-Kanu, who earns £30,000-per-week at the club (Spotrac), started up front in the absence of Salomon Rondon and fans were not happy with his display.
One Baggies fan said that the club may as well play the kids rather than Robson-Kanu.
This is Futbol have rounded up the best tweets from a section of West Brom fans on Robson-Kanu’s lacklustre display:
Massive culture shock for a lot of them today. Hegazi was terrible, Nyom was terrible, Robson-Kanu was Robson-Kanu. Barnes and Phillips played well #wba

The Championship is starting, there's a feelgood factor around the club, your manager is a club legend, you've made a couple of good signings in Johnstone and Bartley, you look at the teamsheet…..
……Robson-Kanu (wearing #4) starts.#WBA #WBAFC

I doubt this will be a popular view but we need a clear out. Nyom Gibbs Dawson Hegazi Robson-Kanu Rodriguez Rondon all should have been sold. I know the club wanted to get the best price for some of these players but I’m not sure we could get rid if we wanted too #WBA

As an manager without any experience, setting yourself the challenge of getting promoted with Hal Robson-Kanu up front is ambitious to say the least #wba

Positives about today Barnes' screamer & full house. Negatives about today: one substitution, no creativity, Bartley & Hegazi are never going to get on, Robson-Kanu is to football what I am to slimming world and finally the poor soul dressed as a boiler in 30 degree heat !! @wba

OPINION
No wonder the Baggies fans are angry, Robson-Kanu should be nowhere near any Championship side, let alone starting for West Brom. The striker is average at best and doesn’t have any redeeming qualities. He’s not an especially quick player, his finishing is off, he’s not strong, can’t pass with any conviction and isn’t tall enough to win headers. If not for his outstanding goal for Wales against Belgium at Euro 2016, the Welsh striker would probably still be a free agent, he has been living off that moment for the last few years, but the bubble has now burst and he has to be sold before the window shuts.
