Aston Villa are closing in on the signing of Manchester United rising star Axel Tuanzebe, according to Football Insider.
The reliable site claim the Midlands giants are in advanced talks to land the utility player on a loan deal before the transfer window shuts.
Football Insider report United want Tuanzebe to go out on loan to get first-team experience after he spent the second half of last season with Steve Bruce’s side.
Good move for Aston Villa?
Yes. Tuanzebe is young but hugely promising and has the potential to carve out a top-flight career in the years to come. He made little impression at Villa in the second half of last season when injury and a settled side blocked his path, but Steve Bruce understandably rates him highly, as do the United coaching staff. Capped by England at Under-21 level, Tuanzebe has made five Premier League appearances and his versatility is impressive – he can slot in at centre-back, right-back and even the midfield anchorman role. The youngster could be an excellent squad acquisition for the Midlands giants.

Football Insider are very reliable when it comes to transfers, and a deal is seemingly nearly in the bag for Villa. Tuanzebe has featured for United in pre-season, but he will be down the pecking order when the big names all return for the new campaign.
