Aston Villa must quickly make a move for Everton midfielder Muhamed Besic as he is exactly the type of player that would improve their squad instantly.

The 25-year-old defensive midfielder, who rakes in a cool £30,000-a-week at the Toffees (Source: Spotrac), would instantly be able to slot into the Villans midfield and help them in their bid to win promotion.

Besic is a tough-tackling midfielder who is able to sublimely pass the ball to his teammates in order to set them on the attack.

The 25-year-old looked a class above playing in the Championship while on loan at Middlesbrough last season as he excelled in his 17 appearances for them.

It was previously claimed by Sky Sports on Twitter that Besic was going to permanently join Boro for around £6million but for whatever reason that deal fell through.

Everton boss Marco Silva has since revealed in his press conference ahead of his side clash against Southampton that the player is still on the market as the board are still working on potential exits for Yannick Bolasie and Besic.

“We’ll see [if they leave.] We have a big squad in this moment but it is normal that they want to play more minutes,” said the Toffees boss, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.

“Our board are working on them things and if we have any updates I will tell you in the next few days. I am focused on the games and training sessions.”

Given that Besic would be a fabulous signing for the Villans due to his past displays in the Championship and immense talent, then Steve Bruce’s side should quickly try to take him on loan while they have the chance.

Especially as the club are thought to be looking at borrowing Newcastle United’s Isaac Hayden, as reported by the Mirror, who plays in a similar position but is clearly not as talented as the current Toffees midfielder.

Therefore the Villans must pounce on this golden opportunity to improve their squad and borrow Besic for the season to increase their chances of doing well in the Championship.
