A section of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to annihilate Eboue Kouassi for his performance in the 1-0 defeat to Hearts at Tynecastle on Saturday afternoon.
Brendan Rodgers took the bold decision to start the rarely-seen midfielder, who had only made 18 appearances across all competitions before the trip to Edinburgh since joining the Hoops in January 2017.
And some supporters of the Scottish champions were less than impressed with Kouassi, 20, with one saying that the Ivory Coast international was like a “headless chicken” against Hearts.
This is Futbol has rounded up some of the best tweets:
Kouassi first touch is horrendous.

OPINION
Celtic were not at all great against Hearts and Kouassi’s stinker was at the middle of it all. If you take quality players like Olivier Ntcham out of the team, it’s bound to have a massive impact on proceedings and unfortunately for Celtic, that impact was hugely negative. These Celtic fans are right, Kouassi had an absolute shocker against Hearts and it’s hard to see him playing much of a role for the rest of the season after that. Brendan Rodgers needs to go out and buy a quality midfielder. He has already missed out on John McGinn to Aston Villa and Stuart Armstrong is yet to be replaced after leaving for Southampton. Where are the likes of Nir Bitton and Scott Allan? Surely they are better bets than Kouassi, is yet to have a solid game in the green and white hoops. There’s no way that the Scottish Premiership title is in doubt this season, the Bhoys will still win it, but their chances of winning a domestic treble for a third time in a row could come under serious threat with this lack of depth in midfield.
