A section of Rangers fans have been reacting on Twitter after it was confirmed that Billy Gilmour has agreed a professional deal at Premier League giants Chelsea.
Gilmour, 17, joined Chelsea last year with the Light Blues pocketing a £500,000 compensation fee for the highly-rated playmaker.
And now, the teenage ace has confirmed via his personal Twitter account that he has put pen to paper on a professional deal at Stamford Bridge.

Some Rangers fans have been on social media to react to the update on their former player, with one claiming it’s a “pity” that he will never get a chance in Chelsea’s first team.
This is Futbol has rounded up some of their best tweets:
Let’s hope he reverses the trend of so many that have gone to Chelsea in recent years- too much too young and footballing potential never fully realised.

Can't wait until Billy Gilmour announces that he's leaving Real Madrid at the age of 36 and all the talk is of him coming back to his beloved Rangers to end his career.
Only to then snub us for a move to America.

OPINION
It’s a real shame that Gilmour left Rangers so early. Steven Gerrard may have been looking at handing him first team minutes next season due to how highly-rated he is and how well has had played for the youth teams at Ibrox before he eventually had his head turned by Chelsea. The Premier League is just too big to turn down nowadays for youngsters like Gilmour. He will probably never make it at Stamford Bridge but hopefully he will be allowed to flourish elsewhere by them and is not constantly sent out on loan to clubs like Dutch side Vitesse.
