Rangers’ new signing Lassana Coulibaly impressed the Gers supporters on his debut after the club recorded their first European away win in ten years.
The Scottish side claimed an important victory in the Croatia as they narrowly defeated NK Osijek 1-0, with Coulibaly playing a pivotal role in central midfield.
It may be early days yet but Rangers fans seem to have found themselves a no nonsense midfielder in Coulibaly and the Malian will bring many qualities towards the team.
Coulibaly, currently on loan from French side Bastia, produced a solid display against Osijek in Croatia last night, which included a memorable tackle for Rangers fans to digest.
His devastating strength and power was shown in all its glory as he thundered into a tackle and sent his opponent flying before moving into an attacking move within seconds.
Coulibaly is renowned for his pace and ability to cover the ground as quickly as possible, allowing the African to win the ball back and look to play forward.
His combative qualities were a clear indication for his current manager to contact the midfielder personally and lure him to Ibrox this season.
Coulibaly seems to be a different character to what Rangers have had in the past, adding power in the engine room along whilst breaking up play and keeping the game simple.
The Light Blues have struggled to maintain pace of their local rivals Celtic and Coulibaly could help towards lowering the gap and posing a greater threat in challenging for the league title.
