A section of Tottenham fans have been reacting on Twitter after it was reported that the club is bracing itself for a number of offers for right-back Kieran Trippier this summer.
The Sun has reported that the 27-year-old is being valued at over £50million, but is attracting attention from Real Madrid and other clubs across Europe.
It is understood that the England international, who starred at the World Cup in Russia, is aware of the interest but Spurs would resist any approach made to sign him.
Some Tottenham fans have been reacting in a surprising way to the news, with a few saying that it would be a good idea for the North London club to cash in on Trippier this summer, even though the right-back is without doubt in the form of his life.

OPINION
It’s only a handful of fans, but why on earth would Spurs want to sell Trippier with the form he is in? He was easily England’s best player at the World Cup and that is going to be a massive confidence booster for him going into the upcoming season with Tottenham. The 27-year-old ex-Burnley star is way better than Serge Aurier too, so where would be the sense in selling him? The Sun’s report does not seem very reliable anyway due to the fact that Real Madrid already have two right-backs, so it’s hard to see Trippier leaving anytime soon anyway.
