A number of Celtic fans have turned to Twitter to destroy first team defender Marvin Compper after it was confirmed he has picked up yet another injury while with the club.
The 33-year-old German, who joined from RB Leipzig during the January transfer window, has failed to feature regularly for the Hoops due to a number of layoffs which have left him sitting on the sidelines, with just one appearance for the club during the entirety of last season.
With the Champions League qualifiers underway, manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that the six foot (source: Transfermarkt) powerhouse will be missing for next week’s tie against Rosenborg, stating to the Daily Record: “Marvin has a problem with his abductor, so we’ll see how that is but it’s highly unlikely he’ll be available.”
The fans have not taken to his latest blow well, taking to social media to rage at his situation, with many suggesting he is stealing a wage at the club.
This is Futbol has gathered a selection of the Celtic Park faithful’s reactions on Twitter:

Opinion
It is no wonder that the Celtic fans have been left fuming after seeing Compper head to the sidelines once again. His time in Glasgow has been well and truly plagued with injuries and there must be questions asked over whether he should be allowed to see out his contract, having barely featured over the last six months. Rodgers could really do with as many first team options as possible and this is only going to give him a further headache ahead of next week’s outing. Compper is close to going down in Celtic folklore as one of the worst transfer captures the fans have ever seen, and he will have to do something special to prove them wrong on his return.
