Wolverhampton Wanderers are still in the hunt for Middlesbrough’s Adama Traore and are willing to secure his signature regardless of the extent of the injury blow suffered, according to journalist Tim Nash.
The freelance reporter, who used to work as Wolves correspondent for the Express and Star, claims on his personal Twitter account that the lightning fast Boro winger suffered a dislocated injury during the club’s pre-season friendly preparations, and could be out of action for up to six weeks.
I understand there's huge frustration in the @Wolves camp at the injury to Adama Traore last night. I'm told Traore had been due to sign for the club today or Monday but he's now out for 4-6 weeks with a dislocated shoulder.

However, despite the heavy blow, it is stated that Wolves are still chasing the electric flyer’s capture, with an £18million release clause reportedly in his contract, and that they will pounce before the summer window shuts.
Good move for Wolves?
It is less of a good move now that he has suffered this injury, but only slightly.
The speedy wide man has proven himself at Championship level and now Wolves are seemingly hoping to use his electric pace to terrorise defences in England’s top flight.
Having him missing for the first opening weeks of the campaign will not be very helpful, and then he will have to be integrated into the first team at Molineux, which could take some time.
Nuno Esperito Santo will be hoping Traore’s absence will not have an immediate impact, but considering his talents, he would be a miss for any side.

Likely to happen?
It seems as though Traore is very much Wolves’ top target and that nothing, not even injury, will stop them getting their man.
The only issue which might stop this one going through is if the injury blow is worse than first thought, and he is set for a longer spell on the sidelines.
Other than that, expect Traore to be in old gold, rather than red, next season.
