West Ham absolutely cannot afford to miss out on signing Jack Wilshere, as the former Arsenal man is the perfect long-term replacement for senior player Mark Noble.
It was reported by the Daily Mail that the Hammers have held face-to-face talks with the England international midfielder, which is a major step in ensuring the security of West Ham’s midfield for the years to come.
Wilshere is a rare talent, and is strikingly similar to current Irons midfield ace Noble, who has established himself as a Premier League legend.
However, the time is now to be looking forward, and plotting moves to find Noble’s eventual replacement at the heart of West Ham’s team.
Wilshere is that man, and Manuel Pellegrini simply cannot afford to miss out on signing the former Arsenal man on a free transfer.
Noble, 31, is known for his tenacity in the middle of the field, as well as his creative eye to distribute the ball forward, much like his countryman Wilshere.
However, Wilshere is five years Noble’s junior, and possesses arguably superior attacking qualities going forward.
West Ham’s current attacking setup is begging out for a player such as Wilshere to aid Noble in unlocking Premier League teams defences, and West Ham must land the free agent.
The appointment of Pellegrini has brought about with it a great expectation, and this attacking minded manager must be given the facilities with which to move forward.
In this case, the answer is simple, and the Hammers cannot miss out on Wilshere’s signature, if they are to continue to develop as a Premier League team.
