With Arsenal reportedly interested in Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey, Tottenham must sideswipe the Gunners, break the bank and sign the attacking sensation.

As reported by the Sun, the Jamaican forward is wanted by Arsenal manager Unai Emery this summer, as he looks to refresh his attacking options ahead of next season and, as claimed by the Mirror back in February, Bailey is rated at £100million by the German club if any team want to buy the winger.

Now Tottenham do not normally splash out and spend big on players.

They usually search for young talent at bargain prices, who they can then sell on in the future, or integrate into the first team but they must make an exception for the exciting Bailey.

The 20-year-old is an absolutely sensational talent and could become one of, if not the, best players in the world if he keeps developing at the rate he is now.

The Leverkusen number nine really has got everything, being blessed with electric speed, dazzling skills, superb technique and has a good end product – evidenced by his record.

The former Genk winger was in brilliant form for his club last season, which made people sit up and realise just how much talent this lad has got.

He scored 12 goals and registered six assists in 34 appearances for the Bundesliga side, which is a great record for someone so young and as such established a reputation as one of the most dangerous attacking players in German football.

With his previous club Genk, he scored 16 goals in 77 appearances in Belgian football, so the youngster is clearly getting better with every year of regular football.

With north London rivals Arsenal also reportedly interested in his signature, Mauricio Pochettino needs to move very quickly and persuade his chairman Daniel Levy to break the bank for the winger, which might not be an easy task – but Bailey will be worth every single penny.
