Tottenham striker Vincent Janssen is being eyed up by former loan side Fenerbahce over a return to Turkey with his exit from north London looking extremely likely this summer, according to Football.London.

The football news outlet claim that the Super Lig outfit are keen on seeing the 24-year-old Dutch international return despite his troubled temporary spell last season, when a foot injury kept him out of action for much of the campaign.

The report states that Janssen, who has 17 caps for the Netherlands and netted just five goals in 19 appearances for Fenerbahce, has no future with the Lilywhites, having been excluded from any public pictures or videos despite returning to the training centre, and a sale is definitely on the cards.

Good move for Tottenham?

Janssen’s prospects at Spurs are as bleak as they come, and fans would have expected him to be the first out the door when the summer transfer window swung open.

Despite that, he remains, but it seems that it is only a matter of time before that changes.

Tottenham have no place for him in their squad and after failing to make the grade in England as well as Turkey, they might have expected a tougher task of finding a suitor.

If Fenerbahce are seriously interested – and willing to spend money on taking him back this summer, then Mauricio Pochettino should be snapping his hand off.

Likely to happen?

This all depends on what Tottenham are demanding for his capture.

There is little chance they will recoup the full fee spent on his capture, but if they can get the majority of it back, then a deal is likely.

However, if Fenerbahce feel as though they can get a bargain for this one, they are mistaken, and Daniel Levy will not be accepting anything that is not is Spurs’ best interests.
