A section of Wolves fans have been left firmly divided on social media after it was reported their club are in the running to sign Middlesbrough winger Adama Traore.

Wolves are said to be in the race to sign the 22-year-old speed demon from the Championship outfit along with Huddersfield, as revealed on the Sun’s Twitter account and website, who are looking to bolster their squad ahead of the upcoming season.

This was met with split responses from the Wolves faithful who are hoping their club avoids the drop next season, with comments including “let Huddersfield have him”, “one of the worst end products going” and “I’d take him,” after he endured a mixed campaign with Middlesbrough last season

OPINION

Wolves’ move for Adama Traore has clearly left the supporters divided, with some saying he is not worth his valuation of £18 million. However, some are saying he has the potential to be a great player under the right manager. The question is though – do Wolves’ fans want a player who only has potential? They need a player who already has the talent in their view, especially if they want to remain in the Premier League next year. There is no doubting that he may have the potential to be a great player, but Wolves are now a club that need to seek out top-quality signings.
