Manchester United are monitoring Bordeaux winger Malcom, according to the Sport Review.

The reputable sports website reports that the Red Devils are monitoring the situation of the 21-year-old  this summer, who bagged 12 goals in 35 appearances in France’s top flight last season.

The Brazilian wing-wizard, who stands at 5’6″ (source: Transfermarkt) joined Bordeaux in 2016 from South American outfit Corinthians, making his debut in a 4-1 loss to AS Saint-Etienne just eight days after moving to the club from Brazil, and is reportedly being eyed by Tottenham this summer.

United are said to be in the market for a winger in this transfer window, and Malcom could potentially be Mourinho’s third signing of the summer.

OPINION

The fact that Manchester United remain interested in the services of Bordeaux winger Malcom comes to no surprise after they made a bid to land his fellow countryman from Chelsea. Malcom netted a promising amount of goals for a player who operates as a winger, and this statisitic has obviously caught the eye of Jose Mourinho. He already has Jesse Lingard and Alexis Sanchez to call upon, but Malcom’s versatility and eye for goal clearly indicates why he would be a good fit into the United team. However, his combination with either of these attackers could prove to be lethal, and Mourinho could potentially have a incredibly formidable strike force on his hands. His runs down the right-hand side of the pitch would cause huge problems for opponents’ defences, as he is capable of picking back lines apart and having a dangerous eye for goal. His talent and technical abililty would be welcomed to the Premier League, should United progress their interest.
