Besiktas are interested in Liverpool strikers Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi, according to A Spor.

The Turkish outlet claim that both strikers are candidates to replace the outgoing Alvaro Negredo this summer.

The report reveals that, as both players are out of contract next summer, the Turkish club are hoping to secure their signatures for modest fees.

It is understood that they are willing to pay up to £8.8million for Sturridge and £5.3million for Origi, as they look to secure a double bargain deal.

Good move for Liverpool?

Absolutely, they need to get these players off their wage bill as soon as possible as they’re simply not good enough. Neither player is in favour at Anfield, why keep them around? 28-year-old Sturridge made just nine Premier League appearances before being shipped off on-loan to West Bromwich Albion in January, while 23-year-old Origi spent the season on-loan at German side Wolfsburg and scored just seven goals in 37 appearances.

Likely to happen?

They only sticking point in these deals are the size of the fees, which are very low in the current market, even if they are out of contract next summer. Liverpool will want a lot more than the figures quoted but you can’t blame Besiktas for wanting to get a bargain and sensing an opportunity. These deals will happen should the fee be acceptable, as the Reds know they won’t get anything next summer if they keep hold of them, either to Turkey or somewhere else.
