Liverpool are keen to formulate a concrete offer for Juventus playmaker Paulo Dybala as they eye a blockbuster move, according to Tutto Mercato Web.

The Italian transfer site claim the Merseysiders are in contact with Dybala’s agent Gustavo Mascardi and the player could be willing to make a shock move from Turin to Anfield.

Tutto Mercato Web report that the Argentine attacker could also be used in part-exchange in the potential Cristiano Ronaldo transfer from Real Madrid to Juventus.

Good move for Liverpool?

Signing Dybala would, at a stroke, end the heartache and what-ifs of the Philippe Coutinho transfer, not to mention the pain felt by many fans at the collapse of the pursuit of Nabil Fekir. He is a brilliant attacker who creates and scores goals, and would be able to walk straight into the Liverpool starting XI despite the intense competition for places. Dybala has made a huge impact at Juve since joining in 2015 from Palermo, scoring 68 goals and supplying 25 assists from 140 matches. He had his best season yet in 2017-18, netting 26 times in all competitions, including 22 from 33 league games as Juve romped to the Serie A title once again. He would be a brilliant capture.

Likely to happen?

It is not inconceivable, given that the Italian champions will need to raise funds if they are to land Ronaldo, whose fee will be astronomical even though he turned 33 in January. Dybala would fetch close to £100million himself in the current market. Don’t rule it out, but it would require some huge ambition from FSG to get it done.
