A section of Liverpool supporters have taken to Twitter to drool over Curtis Jones after his performance in their pre-season friendly against Bury.
The midfielder, 17, played the first half of the Gigg Lane clash before being one of 10 starters substituted by Jurgen Klopp at half-time as the score stood at 0-0, with only Loris Karius coming out for the second period.
The Liverpool fans watching the match live and online were hugely impressed with Jones and This Is Futbol has rounded up some of the best tweets:

Enjoyable 1st half from Curtis Jones. Always scanning, positionally aware, good passing range, intelligent movement, wants the ball, defensively diligent, has the proclivity to make the right decision rather than the one that looks most flash. #LFC

My half time views.
Passed around OK.
No end product.
Curtis Jones stand out player.
Moreno worst.
Overall looked a bit lacklustre.
Fans booing Karius and goading him. ????
Give it about a 4 out of 10. #LFC— Dan #LFC #Socialism (@Danielbjones6) July 14, 2018

HT and it’s still 0-0. Curtis Jones has been #LFC’s best performer. James Milner also very sharp. Loris Karius has had nothing to do, but is being jeered every time the call comes near him. https://t.co/9S54EVfi13

COMMENTARY:
Jones has been marked out as a potential star of the future after being invited to train with the first team at the age of 15. Still only 17, he is now being spoken about by supporters and those at the club almost in the same way as fellow rookies Rhian Brewster and Ben Woodburn. Jones does not put the ball in the back of the net like those two, but he has the qualities to make a big impression in the coming years. A technically gifted, tactically astute midfielder who is energetic, mobile and defensively diligent, Jones came on in leaps and bounds under Steven Gerrard in the Under-18s last season before the Liverpool icon quit to become Rangers manager. He has clearly caught they eye of Klopp, too. and it is a measure of the teenager’s progress that he stood out ahead of first teamers in today’s friendly at Bury. Of course, the senior men are just working on their fitness as they move through the gears ahead of the new campaign. But Jones is something special.
