Joe Hart wants to quit Manchester City this summer, as the goalkeeper has fallen down the pecking order under Pep Guardiola, according to the Daily Mail.

The English newspaper report on their website that Hart is keen to end his 12-year association with the club on a permanent basis, having spend the last two years on loan at Torino and West Ham.

The report indicates that City are unwilling to pay Hart’s £120,000-a-week wages this season, and will not loan the former England international out again due to the 31-year-old’s preference of a permanent move.

It is thought that Hart’s history with the club is a driving factor in City wanting to do right by the player, and respect his decision to view a permanent move away from the Etihad.

Good move for Man City?

I think so.

Hart has been a wonderful servant to the club, but it is clear that his playing level has decreased over recent seasons.

This play does not warrant the £6million pay slip, but his contributions to City’s history do warrant the keeper a heroes exit.

The 31-year-old has been integral to City winning five major honours since 2010, and it looks as though the club will grant him his permanent move away.

Likely to happen?

Absolutely.

The two successive loan spells away from the Etihad indicate that under Guardiola the club are going a different way, and Ederson held the position down last season.

Hart wants to be playing football to get back into Southgate’s England squad, and that simply isnt a possibility in Manchester.

The whopping £6million wage package that Hart is due to earn is also another massive cause for concern for the club, as that is literally throwing money away at this stage.
