Insider names Yarmolenko as the next most likely to arrive at West Ham

|

West Ham’s next most likely summer signing is Borussia Dortmund forward Andriy Yarmolenko, according to ExWHUEmployee.

Ex, who is a club insider and regularly divulges accurate snippets of information about the Hammers, has revealed on Twitter that the versatile attacker who can play on the right of midfield or as an out an out striker, could be about to join the Irons.

Sky Sports also suggest that a £17.5million bid has been tabled.

The 28-year-old only signed for Dortmund last summer for a fee of £23m from Dynamo Kiev and is contracted to the Bundesliga outfit until 2021.

Yarmolenko, who stands at 6ft 3in, scored three goals in 18 games in the German top-flight and added a further five assists.

Good move for West Ham?

Last season was a relatively difficult season for the forward in the Bundesliga as a foot injury hampered his progression in the side.

Having said that, with a deal for Lazio attacker Felipe Anderson seemingly dead in the water, arrivals are needed down the right flank and Yarmolenko would be a top quality signing if it materialised.

The 28-year-old has shown consistently throughout his career that wherever he is, he has the ability to not only create goals for others but to find the back of the net and players of that ilk are priceless.

However, the injury-ridden season he endured last term might be a concern.

Likely to happen?

Ex is usually on the ball when it comes to transfers so if he says it is happening and is as positive about it as he is proving to be, then it looks like Yarmolenko to West Ham could very well come off.

The Hammers have been in the market all summer as they look to fill the zone down the right so it makes sense that the attacker’s name is being mentioned with the club.
