Everton manager Marco Silva is plotting to reunite with his former Watford stars Richarlison and Abdoulaye Doucoure in what could be a difficult transfer swoop, according to Goal.com.

The football news website claim that the Portuguese manager is keen on recruiting a new central midfielder as well as a new forward threat to bolster his options at Goodison Park, and that he is keen on the French enforcer and Brazilian dazzler to fill the roles.

However, it is stated that taking the pair from the Hornets could be complicated after his acrimonious exit from Vicarage Road last season, eventually joining Everton after a widely reported hunt for his signing before he was sacked at Watford.

Good move for Everton?

Absolutely, for Doucoure and Richarlison have been two of the Hornets’ top performers over the past 12 months.

If Silva wants a midfielder and a versatile forward, then he is looking in the right place, and the fact he knows the players – and more importantly, they know him – means they should fit right into the first team at Goodison Park.

There need to be a couple of changes in the first team at the Toffees and the Watford pair could be the breath of fresh air needed to get the Merseyside outfit back on track after a roller-coaster of a campaign last season.

Likely to happen?

Absolutely not.

Watford are still feeling incredibly bitter about Silva’s move to Everton, and there is no club they would rather avoid selling to this summer.

If the first team pair demanded a move to Goodison Park with a transfer request, then perhaps they might reluctantly green light their departures, but they are not about to give them up without a fight.

It could take an over-the-top price to secure one of them, let alone the duo, and Silva might have to look elsewhere.
