Everton are willing to sell exciting young forward Ademola Lookman for a fee of £17.7million this summer as former loan side RB Leipzig hunt a reunion, according to Bild.

The reputable German publication claim on their website that the Bundesliga outfit want to take the 20-year-old winger, who stands at a diminutive 5’7″ (source: Transfermarkt) back after having him on loan last season, the England under-21 international netting five goals in 11 appearances.

However, the Toffees are reportedly seeking a price of £17.7million (20million) if they are to green light his exit, and that Leipzig’s budget restrictions are causing it to be a difficult move to pull off.

Good move for Everton?

It all depends on whether Marco Silva believes Lookman can be a dazzling talent at Goodison Park over the coming years, or whether the price that they have slapped on his head is beyond anything that he will be worth in the future.

The youngster is a bright starlet with a lot of potential, and if he can hit the heights that are expected of him, then he could well bring the club some success.

However, money talks, and if Leipzig are that desperate to secure his capture, then maybe the Toffees are pulling off a savvy bit of business.

Likely to happen?

Right now, no, but things might change as the summer progresses.

It does not sound like Leipzig have the funds to secure the desired reunion with Lookman, having already brought in some new recruits, but sales of more senior stars could provide some funds to make it a reality.

One to watch, as it could well go down to deadline day.
