Lucas Torreira will be expected to join up with his Arsenal team-mates on August 6, should his transfer go through this week, according to Football London.
The English sporting website reports that the Uruguayan will return to his homeland, following their unfortunate elimination from the World Cup, as he becomes the Gunners’ fourth signing of the summer..
Football London also reported that the midfielder is flying in to complete his Gunners medical, following which the £26.5million transfer will be complete.
The midfield technician shone during the World Cup for Uruguay and looks a more than capable replacement for Jack Wilshere, who left the club at the end of his contract.
