OPINION

Pre-season is a chance for the lesser-known players to stake their claim for a first-team spot, and Guendouzi certainly did that against PSG. When the Gunners signed the midfielder from Lorient this summer it was not necessarily expected that he would be playing first-team football this season, but that looks likely on the back of his pre-season games so far. These Arsenal fans certainly seem to think that the youngster is good enough, and it will be interesting to see how his development goes at the Emirates Stadium. If he is handled right, this is a player who could go on to big things at the club, and that is exciting for fans as we approach an important season.
