Manchester City attacker Jack Harrison is undergoing a medical at Leeds United, according to Sky Sports.

The broadcaster claimed on their live transfer blog on Monday [10:36am] that Harrison, 21, is on the verge of being signed by the Whites on a season-long loan deal.

The England Under-21 international spent the second-half of last season on loan at Middlesbrough after he was snapped up by Man City from New York City in January.

Good move for Leeds?

Harrison was in stunning form in the MLS last year before the Stoke-born attacker was welcomed back to the UK by Man City.

The winger scored 10 goals and supplied three assists in 37 appearances across all competitions in the 2017 season in the USA.

He would not have been signed by Manchester City if he is not a good player and with Leeds having very little strength in their wide-attacking options, it makes perfect sense to sign Harrison.

The 21-year-old will bring pace, an ability to cut inside from the wide positions and will just in general be a major upgrade on what Marcelo Bielsa has already inherited.

Likely to happen?

It very much seems as though this deal is going to go ahead.

Harrison has had very little trouble with injuries in his career so should pass his medical with flying colours and will be a Leeds player before too long.

The Whites have struggled to get signings completed this summer, but it seems as though it is going to be a busy week before the Championship season kicks off.
