Chelsea fans are absolutely delighted at the claim from Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur that Barcelona can’t afford to do a deal for Eden Hazard.
Terreur, who has strong links with Belgian players, made the claim on his personal Twitter account on Friday morning.
He also added that Real Madrid haven’t made an offer for him either.
There have been contacts between Barcelona and Eden Hazard, but no negotiations – a very expensive operation that they can’t afford at the moment. Real Madrid haven’t made an offer either. Chelsea not willing to sell him. #cfc #worldcup #bel pic.twitter.com/1Mpccg0IrM

Chelsea fans are delighted with this update with one calling it a “Kristoff masterclass”.
Another claimed that Chelsea should get Hazard signed up on a new contract with his current deal expiring in 2020.
Other fans are thrilled at the prospect of Hazard hooking up with new manager Maurizio Sarri, with one saying this will be Hazard’s best season at the club yet – a bold claim, but an exciting one.
Here are the best reactions from a section of Chelsea fans:

Hazard under Sarri will be incredible. Could be his best time as a Chelsea player. I see him as our version of Insigne.

Hazard need to think twice before leaving Chelsea. He will win some trophies there but at Chelsea he can be our greatest ever player if he stay . Money is not a big deal tbh.

OPINION
Chelsea fans are absolutely delighted with this news although they’ll only feel completely safe once the transfer window has shut. If Hazard wants a move then this situation could change, although as one fan said in a tweet, Roman [Abramovich] always wins. Chelsea fans will be hoping he does here too, and that he doesn’t fancy cashing in on his prize asset.
