A number of Leeds United fans are keen on seeing Hadi Sacko return to Elland Road and playing a part in the first team after it was confirmed he had moved on loan to Spanish side Las Palmas this summer.

The Segunda Division outfit, who were relegated from La Liga last season, revealed the temporary capture of the 24-year-old via their official Twitter account and website, before posting a picture of him having arrived in Gran Canaria for his medical.

Having struggled for game time last season, the Elland Road faithful were left wishing him luck for his move on Twitter, as many voiced their hopes that he would return to the club after the loan.

Opinion

It seems that despite having barely seen the winger last season the Leeds faithful still hold out hope that he can become a first team star – which leaves them as overly optimistic or just plain deluded. The Mali international struggled in his first season at Elland Road with a poor return in the final third, which is why he was not fancied by managers Thomas Christiansen or Paul Heckingbottom. He has a lot of work to do if he wants to get anywhere near the senior squad at Leeds again and quite frankly, there are major doubts over whether he will ever be good enough. Still, stranger things have happened, but it is hard to see these Leeds fans getting their wish.
