A section of Leeds fans have expressed their excitement at the recent exploits of goalscoring sensation Erling Braut Haaland and are keen for him to join the club.
The striker is the son of former Elland Road favourite Alf-Inge Haaland, who played for the club in the late 1990s.
The 17-year-old was also born in the city and is reportedly a massive fan of the club and even sleeps in a Leeds shirt. His goalscoring exploits for Molde this season have attracted the interest of some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Some Leeds fans want the club to bring Haaland Jnr to Elland Road, due to his deep connections with the club.

Alternatively to Jerry, we just throw a 'few' (?) million at Haaland Jr and smash the league to pieces with youth. #lufc https://t.co/KpJrlZQiaV

I’m not a fan (or believer) in tagging our owner for transfer tips, but what an amazing thing it would be to bring Haaland back home to Leeds and #LUFC.

This is Futbol verdict:
Despite being a massive Leeds fan and his dad playing for the club, it’s going to be difficult to sign Haaland ahead of some of the biggest clubs in Europe. Unfortunately, just because a player is a fan of a club, it doesn’t mean they always end up there. If the Yorkshire giants do indeed make a move for the 17-year-old, he would be an exceptional piece of business and they would have a potential high-quality striker on their hands. It all depends on what Bielsa and the club are thinking. If the club is planning for the long-term, then they may make an approach, but if their focus is on the short-term then they’re not going to spend money on someone who wouldn’t repay their outlay for a few years.
