Wolves have reportedly tabled a bid worth £21.9million for Stoke midfielder Badou Ndiaye – and he would be a perfect addition to Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad as they prepare for their return to the Premier League this summer.

Turkish news outlet Fanatik claims that Wolves have offered a club record sum for former Galatasaray midfielder Ndiaye, 27, just months after joining Stoke for £14million in January.

The Senegal international was one of the best players for the Potters as they suffered relegation from the Premier League and definitely looks as though he will be someone who can flourish when surrounded by better players and when guided by a manager with an eye-catching football philosophy.

Ndiaye was a mainstay for Galatasaray before heading to Stoke and for both clubs last season he made 30 appearances across all competitions and scored three goals in the process.

It is understood that Stoke don’t want him to leave, but given their drop to the Championship, they may be forced into cashing in and that huge offer that has been reportedly tabled by Wolves will surely be irresistible to Gary Rowett.

Ndiaye has dreams of getting himself back into the Champions League, and Wolves fans have been having similar dreams with regards to their club after the riches that were ploughed into the club by Chinese owners Fosun.

It would be a bold move for the Championship winners, but one of that would definitely improve their squad for their return to the Premier League.
