West Ham have made contact with Sevilla winger Joaquin Correa’s agent Alessandro Lucci over signing the player, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

The Italian website claim that they have intercepted contact being made between the the club and the 23-year-old’s agent.

Tuttomercatoweb state that Correra is one of the hottest names for the London market but that there would have also been requests for his services from clubs in Italy.

Good move for West Ham?

Yes.

Correa ended his 2017/18 campaign having scored seven goals, while creating seven, in the 39 appearances he made for Sevilla last season.

The 23-year-old is the type of player who loves to dribble at his opponents and bamboozle them with his footwork so he would be an exciting arrival to see rock up at the London Stadium this summer.

Correa, who can dabble on either flank, even featured in the Champions League in his latest campaign for the Spanish giants and would definitely add a touch of class to the Hammers’ current squad.

Also with him still relatively young at the age of 23 then the Hammers would be signing a winger who could dazzle supporters for many seasons to come.

Likely to happen?

While the Hammers have reached out to his agent, getting a deal done for his services will prove to be no easy task.

Sevilla will be reluctant to let the exciting winger go and if he was to depart then they would demand a high price for his services, especially as his contract doesn’t expire until 2021.

Also as Tuttomercatoweb state that Correa will no doubt have several teams calling up his agent in order to get his services then the Hammers won’t be able to easily strike a deal to get him.

However it’s worth noting that the Hammers haven’t shied away from being willing to splash the cash this summer and perhaps they’d be willing to spend big once again on a talented player such as Correa.
