Newcastle United have already added Martin Dubravka and Ki Sung-Yueng to their squad this summer, but manager Rafael Benitez needs to put his foot down by continuing to add new recruits.

The Magpies need significant improvements to their squad as a whole if they are to become Premier League regulars again and they definitely have the right man in Benitez at the helm.

He needs to try add some further attacking firepower to his squad and should plot a move for Southampton’s dazzling ace Sofiane Boufal.

Premier League outfit the Saints announced on their official Twitter account a 30-man strong squad for their pre-season tour in China and the 24-year-old is a notable omission.

His future is likely to be speculated about as a result and Newcastle should try jump in first to offer him a fresh start at St James’ Park.

Boufal has flattered to deceive in truth during his time with Southampton and been directly involved in just seven goals in 59 appearances.

However, the Morocco international has so much more potential than that and Benitez could be the perfect man to get the best out of him.
He is a fleet-footed attacker with great pace and technical ability, while he has also scored some screamers during his career.

Boufal would be brilliant competition for Ayoze Perez next season in the number 10 role and at his age could still make an impact in the Premier League given the glimpses of quality he has shown before.
