Wolves launched an offer to sign Real Sociedad forward Willian Jose last week, according to UOL.
The Brazilian news outlet claims that although the 26-year-old has missed out on Brazil’s 23-man squad for the World Cup in Russia this summer, he may well still be on the move having attracted attention from the West Midlands.
Willian Jose was in brilliant form for La Liga club Real Sociedad in the 2017/18 season.
He scored 20 goals in 40 appearances across all competitions, managing to find the net against the likes of Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
Good move for Wolves?
Absolutely.
Willian Jose is way better than any centre-forward currently on the books at Molineux and would easily get into their first team for next season.
He has proved in the last year that he can score goals against some of the best teams in Europe in what was a stunning season with Real Sociedad.
The Brazilian may have made the World Cup squad if he did not miss a few games in the middle of the season through injury, as he was sidelined for his side’s drop out of the Europa League.

Likely to happen?
It would probably take a lot of money to sign Willian Jose and it’s hard not to see other, more reputable clubs, becoming interested in signing him given his purple patch in front of goal over the last year.
The ex-Real Madrid forward is not on Jorge Mendes’ books so there’s no hope of getting the super-agent to push through a move to Molineux.
A team in European football is far more likely to get his signature if Sociedad are willing to cash in on him.
