With the departure of Badou N’Diaye from Stoke City confirmed by his agent, the speculation surrounding his future has him linked to several clubs, including Wolves.

The Birmingham Mail has quoted William D’Avfilla on their website as saying that his client will be leaving the Potters this summer following relegation, stating: “I can confirm that Badou will leave Stoke City. There has been contact from Spain. Turkey is an option for us as well.

“It’s all down to negotiations with Stoke City.”

The 27 year old only arrived at Stoke in January when Wolves’ former manager Paul Lambert signed him for £14 million, scoring two goals in 13 appearances at the bet365 Stadium.

Turkish outlet Sporx has claimed that Wolves are keen on making a move for the 17-cap Senegal international from the side who dropped into the Championship this season, with the Senegalese international’s confirmed departure a huge boost for the Wanderers if they want to snap him up.

The Birmingham Mail have been rounding up the clubs that N’Diaye has caught the eye of, with Wolves being the most heavily linked to the central midfielder.

After Stoke lost their relegation battle this season, N’Diaye’s departure could not have come at a better time for their rivals.

Championship title winners Wolves will be looking to bolster their squad ahead of their Premier League challenge next season, and will want new talent such as the former Stoke man to boost their chances of top flight survival.

Following the Potters’ relegation, he will undoubtedly be seeking Premiership football, so if this transfer was to be negotiated it would be good news for both parties involved.

He would provide additional stability to the midlands side’s central midfield, and boss Nuno Espirito Santo would also welcome his ability to score goals from this position.

Following his exit from the Potters, several clubs would potentially be interested in his services, so he may consider a move to Europe over clubs like Wolves in order to showcase his talent on a big stage.

However, N’Diaye may want to stay put in England for a while and play Premier League football with a club such as Wolves that already has top flight experience.
