Nottingham Forest have confirmed the double signings of Joao Carvalho and Diogo Gonclaves from Benfica according to the club’s website and it is news that has sent the Forest faithful wild on social media.
Forest fans have had to endure seasons of finishing in the bottom half of the Championship table, and are celebrating what they consider to be top-level signings for the club after news of the double swoop emerged.
The club announced on their Twitter page the stunning double deal for Carvalho and Gonclaves, with the duo set to sign contracts which start on July 1st, with the former breaking the club’s transfer record.

The 21-year-old pair from Portugal can provide the top-level experience Karanka is seeking for a side that played relatively standard football last season, which was demonstrated through their 17th placed finish in the Championship.
However, Nottingham Forest fans now have a lot to be excited about with these two joining their ranks, and they quickly took to social media to reveal their delight at seeing the duo put pen to paper, with the new arrivals building expectation ahead of the new campaign.
