West Ham are likely to make Swansea City goalkeeper Lukas Fabianski their next signing of the summer as Manuel Pellegrini looks to strengthen the side, according to club insider ExWHUemployee.

The Twitter account, who has established themselves as a reputable source of information surrounding the Hammers, claims that the 6’2″ colossus is the man likely to step through the London Stadium door next, with much speculation over signings.

Calcio Mercato have claimed that a deal for Barcelona defender Marlon is set to go through this week, while Gianluca Di Marzio stated that the Irons had tabled a bid for Felipe Anderson.

However, it seems as though the 33-year-old proven shot stopper, who has 181 Premier League appearances to his name, is set to make the move from Swansea to east London to join Ryan Fredericks as a new arrival in the squad.

Good move for West Ham?

Pellegrini certainly needs a new goalkeeper, following the ending of Joe Hart’s mixed spell on loan at the club, with just Spanish stopper Adrian as a senior option.

Fabianski is an experienced head in between the sticks and knows what it takes to compete in the Premier League, although he has been prone to one or two errors throughout his career.

It might not be the exciting signing the West Ham faithful want to see but he will be a useful capture who sorts out a much needed issue in the squad.

Likely to happen?

It certainly seems so, although there might still be a sticking point over the price tag.

West Ham need a new goalkeeper and Swansea seem happy to let him go, so it is a match that works out for all parties involved.

What this means for Adrian is another thing entirely, and it will be interesting to see if another new face is brought through the doors to fight for a first team spot.
