Everton must launch a bid to sign Atlanta United and Venezuela striker Josef Martinez this summer as he is someone who can absolutely tear up the Premier League in the 2018/19 season.

The 25-year-old represents Venezuela at the international level, and was the fastest player in MLS history to score five hat-tricks, reaching that feat in a mesmerising 21 games.

This is exactly the sort of player that Marco Silva could use at Goodison Park, having a solid reputation of nurturing promising talents; as evidenced by his time at Watford working with Richarlison.

Martinez is an absolute goal-machine and has scored almost a goal a game since moving to America to ply his trade, having previously played for Torino in the Serie A.

The Venezuela international was named to the MLS Best XI last season, despite missing a lot of time through injury, and has continued on his path this term, scoring 14 through his 17 appearances.

Everton are a team desperate for goals, and new boss Silva will be looking for a natural goal scorer ahead of his first season in charge at Goodison Park.

Although Silva’s hands could be tied in terms of transfer acquisitions due to the Toffees large squad, Martinez would not cost much.

The lethal finisher was first loaned to Atalanta, before being moved permanently for an undisclosed fee, which represents a cheap deal.

This could be the bargain of the summer, and Silva must move fast before other teams learn of Martinez goal-scoring antics.
