Leeds United have sanctioned the exit of Madger Gomes to French Ligue 1 side Sochaux, as revealed by the club’s official Twitter feed – and fans are happy to see him head out the door.
The Whites confirmed the news on Monday, where they stated that the former Spanish youth international would be leaving the club on a permanent deal after only joining Elland Road last summer.

The 21-year-old attracted the interest of the Whites director of football Victor Orta whilst playing for Liverpool under 23s, but despite flashes of brilliance in the Leeds youth set-up, the midfielder failed to make a single outing for the first team in a position where they are not short of supply.
And in reaction to the news, it would seem that supporters could not be happier to hear that Gomez will be testing himself on the continent rather than in the Championship
Fans have been less than impressed with the Spaniard since his arrival and subsequent inability to break into the first team and they are hopeful that this news is the start of a mass exodus from players not fit to wear the shirt.
Here is a selection of some of the best reactions from Leeds supporters on social media to the news:

One of the weaker youth players we bought and we've got loads of good CM talent in the academy. No loss.
