When Leeds United brought in youngster Tyler Roberts from West Brom in the January transfer window, fans could be forgiven for not knowing what to expect.

The 19-year-old had only made a single senior appearance for the Baggies and had been on numerous loan deals in the EFL.

The Welshman was injured when he arrived at Elland ROad and when he’d recovered, he picked up another injury which ruled him out for the season, so the club’s fans have yet to see what the rarely-seen player is capable of.

Here’s a tip for new boss Marcelo Bielsa, play him and he’ll repay you with goals – this kid is something special.

The striker has magnificent close control, dribbling ability, pace and is clinical when put in-front of goal, a great combination of skills for a young forward.

He showed in his loan spell at Midlands club Walsall that he was ready for a step up in level, he scored five goals and provided four assists in what was a really poor League One team, just imagine what he could do with decent service.

Last season, the Yorkshire Giants didn’t have a reliable striker, they struggled to find someone with a constant supply of goals.

Their new Argentine manager may well be searching for a goal-scoring striker, but he already has one in his squad ready to make an impact and that could potentially save owner Andrea Radrizzani millions in trying to find a new goal machine.

The last time Leeds had an ex-West Brom forward on their books, it was a certain New Zealand international called Chris Wood, but Roberts has the potential to surpass the ability of Wood, which is an exciting prospect for fans at Elland Road.
