Liverpool have discussed the potential signings of goalkeepers Alisson Becker of Roma and Andriy Lunin of Zorya Luhansk, according to the Daily Mail.

The newspaper claimed in their live transfer blog on Monday [03:40pm] that the Reds are considering changing their goalkeeper options, even though manager Jurgen Klopp is willing to stand by Loris Karius after his shocker against Real Madrid in the Champions League final.

It is understood that Brazilian shot-stopper Allison is valued at £60million, and signing him would take Liverpool’s summer spending over £100million after they completed a £43.7million swoop for Fabinho on Monday.

Good move for Liverpool?

Allison has quickly become seen as one of the best goalkeepers in Europe and would be a brilliant addition for Klopp to make in the summer.

It’s about time that the German manager decides to sort out his options between the sticks because ultimately the lack of quality in that area cost them in the Champions League final.

Brazil international Allison will cost a lot of money, but the defeat to Madrid proved that Liverpool will have to spend a lot of money to sort out areas of the squad that have been problems areas for too long now.

Likely to happen?

Liverpool look as though they want to finish some of their deals early.

Naby Keita agreed to join this summer last year while Fabinho’s deal came out of nowhere, meaning that the Reds have already bolstered their midfield and defence.

It’s inevitable that Klopp will sign a new goalkeeper this summer. Will it be Alisson? It’s too early to say, but the fans will be hoping that someone of his quality comes in.
