Super-agent Jorge Mendes has been in contact with Wolves as he aims to seal a summer switch for unwanted AC Milan forward Andre Silva, according to Calciomercato.

The Italian news outlet claims that Milan want £27.2million for the Portugal international, despite signing him from Porto less than a year ago.

It is understood that Silva’s agent Mendes has been in talks with Wolves and Monaco, but none of their offers have met the major valuation that has been set by Milan.

Arsenal are also said to be interested in the 22-year-old, who scored 10 goals in 40 appearances across all competitions for Milan this season.

Good move for Wolves?

Silva would be a stunning signing for Wolves.

Even though he has had a tough season with AC Milan, he has not really been a consistent starter in Serie A, so if he manages to get himself on the teamsheet every week, then he will surely be more prolific in front of goal.

The Wanderers would have to smash their previous transfer record to sign Silva by the sounds of it, however to get players who will drastically improve the squad, they must spend that sort of cash.

Fosun will surely sanction whatever fee they must spend to sign a player who is recommended to the club by Mendes and is fancied by Nuno Espirito Santo.

Likely to happen?

It still seems quite far away from being a completed deal, and with Monaco and Arsenal interested, there’s every chance that Silva would move to one of those clubs over Molineux to get European football next season.

Wolves will be able to spend big, but the biggest pulling power of them all is the Champions League and if they don’t have that, they’re likely to miss out on some targets this summer.
