Arsenal U23 starlet Charlie Gilmour has given a cryptic two word message over the future of Rangers on Twitter.

Writing on his personal social media account, the 19-year-old, who is yet to break into the Gunners’ senior side, sent a tweet depicting a picture of the new Gers boss Steven Gerrard which said: “Can’t wait #LetsGo,” which will have left fans wondering what his intentions over the message were.

The Scottish youth international is known to be a fan of the Light Blues and his message could have been made purely out of pure excitement that the Liverpool legend would soon be officially in charge.

OPINION:

With more and more players leaving their clubs to pursue an opportunity to make a name for themselves elsewhere there is no reason why Arsenal would not be willing to loan out their youngster to Rangers in order to give him some experience in a competitive league. It would be a good move for the Light Blues too, getting their hands on a talented prospect such as Gilmour is. It should not be forgotten that with Andy Halliday set to leave the Gers this summer after falling out of favour at Ibrox and Graham Dorrans struggling since his arrival last summer after a long-term injury kept him out of the side, there is a need for new recruits to the defensive midfield role and Gilmour would fit into the side perfectly. His energy and exuberance in the centre of the park is exactly what the side is missing. Of course, there could be too much being read into the message, and it could just be an innocent tweet from a genuine Bear.
