West Ham are set to sign Yaya Toure on a free transfer this summer with him poised to reunite with his former Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini at the London Stadium, according to VAVEL reporter Mootaz Chehade.
The reliable journalist claimed on his personal Twitter account on Sunday that Toure, 35, will sign for the Hammers in the summer after it was confirmed he would be leaving Man City at the end of his contract.

According to statistics website Spotrac, the former Barcelona star earns £220,000-a-week in his contract at City which is set to expire at the end of next month.
Good move for West Ham?
Toure has heaps of talent and even though he is 35-years-old, he still has plenty to offer to the club.
The Ivorian midfielder is likely to be the Hammers’ highest-earning player should he join this summer on what would presumably be a one-year deal.
It makes sense for him to move to London and wrap up a deal to reunite with Pellegrini as the club’s midfield definitely needs strengthening in the coming months after a poor season saw them scrapping against relegation.
With Toure in the side, there’s no chance that West Ham will be finishing as low as they have done this season.

Likely to happen?
The link between West Ham, Pellegrini and Toure seems all too easy to make up.
The former Barcelona midfielder enjoyed some of his best football under Pellegrini at the Etihad as they won the 2013/14 Premier League title together and there’s bound to be a few more reports linking the player to the London Stadium once the Chilean is confirmed in charge.
There are bound to be many more clubs interested in Toure on a free transfer though and clubs in the MLS or Chinese Super League would surely be able to offer a lot more money, as well as an easier time.
