Tottenham are plotting to take both Ryan and Steven Sessegnon from Fulham over the summer if the Cottagers miss out on promotion from the Championship, according to a report.

The London Evening Standard claim on their website that the Lilywhites have been impressed by both of the 18-year-olds, who are twins, in their time at Craven Cottage and are keen on sealing a sensational swoop to take them both to north London.

Left-sided flyer Ryan is one of the hottest young talents in England at the moment, with 16 goals and seven assists in 51 appearances across the last season, while his brother, who is more of an enforcer who plays at right or centre back, has two cup outings under his belt.

It is said that Fulham’s hopes of keeping the pair lay in their play off final against Aston Villa, with defeat leaving it likely that one, or both, will depart over the summer.

Good move for Tottenham?

There is little doubt that whoever gets their hands on Ryan Sessegnon will be in possession of one of the most exciting talents England has seen in some time.

His record at just 18-years-old is exceptional, even for the Championship, and there will be loads of neutrals dying to see what he can offer in the Premier League – whether that is with Fulham or someone else.

Securing Steven might be a ploy to convince Ryan to make the move but at the same time, the former might just be lagging behind in terms of his development – for he has still got senior experience under his belt.

Likely to happen?

This all depends on whether Fulham manage to overcome Aston Villa in the play off final.

The Cottagers are in sensational form, having lost just two league games since December – although those pair of defeats have come in recent weeks.

Still, Spurs look likely to push for Ryan no matter the outcome, and Fulham will be in the driving seat to make the decision as and when their future is decided.

They seem pretty adamant that the speed machine is going nowhere if they make it to the Premier League and the youngster himself has spoken about staying if they reach the top flight – so Villa may well have a couple thousand fans from north London when the final kicks off.
